Become an Apprentice

The San Diego Center for International Trade Development (CITD) was awarded a grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office Division of Economic and Workforce Development to develop an apprenticeship program for the Cargo and Freight Agent occupation. The program will combine paid on-the-job training with classroom lessons. Apprentices in the program will take courses from Southwestern College’s International Logistics and Transportation Program while working full-time. Additionally, apprentices will have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications in supply chain management through the CITD SCPro Fundamentals certification program, which is backed by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).

If you are interested in being an apprentice in this program and would like to be notified when apprenticeship opportunities are available, please complete the form below. If you have questions about the program, contact us at sclap@sandiegocitd.org.
